A short video clip showing some of the extensive Rans CFD analysis carried out by Cape-Horn Engineering for our 50-metre Fast-Displacement Explorer Yacht, in build at JFA Yachts.

CFD studies covered both calmwater and seakeeping and included multiple optimisation studies to refine the hull form and assess a variety of trim control and motion damping devices to ensure the design’s ambitious performance, safety and comfort level targets could be achieved.
